Amanda M. Thole

Amanda Thole practices in the areas of family law and criminal defense.  Family law consists of Divorce, Custody, Child Support, Adoption and negotiating marital agreements.  Amanda also defends individuals who have pending criminal charges in Codington County and the surrounding communities.

Amanda approaches her practice with compassion and works to ensure her family law clients maintain an amicable relationship with the other parent.  Amanda understands that family law matters are often deeply personal and strives to provide practical guidance while keeping the children’s best interest at heart.  Amanda works diligently to protect clients’ rights, interests, and futures during some of the most challenging circumstances of their lives.  Amanda believes that effective representation beings with listening to clients and understanding their unique circumstances.  

Amanda graduated from Augusta University in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in government/international affairs and history.  She graduated from the University of South Dakota Law School in 2014.  Amanda is licensed in state and federal court in South Dakota, in several tribal courts in South Dakota, and licensed in Minnesota.

Amanda and her husband, Andrew, reside in Minnesota with their three children.  In her free time Amanda enjoys spending time at the lake with her family, reading, and watching the Minnesota Twins.
